30cm wide × 18cm high × 9cm deep
These are the dimensions of the basic Minerva Tote pattern. As each bag is individually handmade, measurements may vary very slightly.
Personalisation – Make It Yours
Your Minerva is made especially for you, with a choice of materials and finishes to create your own combination.
Main Outer Fabric
Used for the centre panels of your tote. Choose the material and colour that will form the main feature of your design.
Accent Fabric
Used for the side panels and handles. Choose a coordinating shade for a classic look or a contrasting material to make your Minerva stand out.
Lining Fabric
Used for the main lining inside your tote, bringing your chosen materials together for a coordinated finish.
Pocket Theme Fabric
A little splash of personality! This fabric adds a pop of colour or pattern to the inside of both the front external zipped pocket and the internal zipped pocket.
Hardware
Choose silver or antique brass for your zipper pulls and magnetic closure. These finishing details help complete your chosen design.

Some materials may incur an additional charge, which will be displayed when you make your selections. All combinations are subject to stock availability and suitability for the Minerva design. If you’re unsure which materials will work together, I’m happy to help.
Made to Order, Not Completely Bespoke
Made to Order allows you to personalise the look of your Minerva by choosing your materials, colours and finishes while keeping the original design and construction.
If you’d like to make substantial changes to the design, incorporate your own clothing or treasured textiles, or develop an idea outside the standard options, my Bespoke Commission service offers the opportunity to discuss something more individual.

Your Minerva will be made especially for you once your order has been placed and your choices have been confirmed.
My usual turnaround is around three weeks, although this can vary depending on current orders, material availability and the time of year.
I’ll always aim to have your Minerva on its way to you as soon as possible.
The Story Behind the Name
The Minerva Tote takes its name from Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, craftsmanship and the arts.
Associated with creativity, thoughtful design and skilled making, Minerva felt like a fitting inspiration for a handmade bag that combines practical organisation with individual style.
With its generous space and carefully considered details, this tote celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship at the heart of Made by Nette.
