Simply wrap the Bag Buddy around your cardigan, lightweight jacket, scarf or shawl, secure it using one of the two press-stud positions and clip it onto your handbag or another suitable bag.
Perfect for days when the weather can’t quite make up its mind, Bag Buddy keeps your hands free while keeping your extra layer close at hand.

Size & Fastening
30cm strap
Bag Buddy has two press-stud fastening positions, giving you flexibility depending on the thickness of the garment or accessory you’re securing.
There isn’t a conventional height, width and depth measurement for Bag Buddy, as its flexible strap design means the fastening position is more useful than fixed dimensions.
Personalisation – Make It Yours
Your Bag Buddy can be created to complement your favourite bag or simply reflect your own style.
Main Fabric
Choose the fabric for the section that wraps around your cardigan, scarf, shawl or lightweight jacket. This is the main visible fabric of your Bag Buddy.
Accent Fabric
Choose a coordinating fabric for the strap that fastens around your bag. Pick a complementary colour or pattern to create a combination you love.
Hardware
Choose your preferred hardware option for the lobster claw or large O-ring, along with the D-ring and press studs used in the design.

Specific fabrics and finishes are subject to availability, but I’ll always aim to create something that reflects your choices and the Made by Nette style.
Made to Order, Not Completely Bespoke
The Made-to-Order Bag Buddy allows you to personalise the fabrics and hardware while keeping the original design and construction.
If you have an idea that falls outside the standard Made-to-Order options, such as incorporating your own treasured textiles or making substantial changes to the design, my Bespoke Commission service is the place to start.
Made to Order
Your Bag Buddy will be made especially for you once your order has been placed and your choices have been confirmed.
My usual turnaround is around three weeks, although this can vary depending on current orders, material availability and the time of year.
I’ll always aim to have your Bag Buddy on its way to you as soon as possible.
How to Use Your Bag Buddy
Using your Bag Buddy couldn’t be simpler.
1. Wrap
Wrap the strap around your cardigan, scarf, shawl or lightweight jacket.
2. Secure
Choose the press-stud position that gives you the best fit and fasten it securely.
3. Clip
Attach the Bag Buddy to a suitable handbag, backpack or travel bag.
Your extra layer is now attached to your bag, leaving your hands free to enjoy your day.

It’s a small, practical accessory that helps your handbag do a little more, giving you somewhere to keep that extra layer when you no longer need to wear it.
Because sometimes it’s the little things that make a day out easier.

Every Made by Nette accessory is lovingly handmade, so no two will ever be exactly alike.
Pattern placement, fabric details and finishing touches may vary slightly from photographs or from one Bag Buddy to another. These little differences are part of what makes a handmade piece special and give yours its own individual character.
Bag Buddy is designed for lightweight garments such as cardigans, scarves, shawls and light jackets. It is not intended to carry heavy coats or bulky outerwear.
